La Coop fédérée highlights agri-environmental excellence
Montréal, September 29, 2017 – La Coop fédérée would like to congratulate the winners of the Prix La Coop fédérée à l’agroenvironnement, who were honoured this evening on the occasion of the gala for the Ordre national du mérite agricole (ONMA).

We also believe that innovation, a spirit of openness, entrepreneurship and solidarity, will ensure the long-term viability of today’s organizations, and those of tomorrow as well,” noted Ghislain Gervais, president of La Coop fédérée.
The Top Winners
This year, the regional winners in the Prix La Coop fédérée à l’agroenvironnement are Ferme Sylvain Laquerre inc., from the Capitale-Nationale region, and Les Vergers du Cap de la Chaudière-Appalaches. We are also pleased to announce that the national winner this year is Ferme Sylvain Laquerre inc. We would like to congratulate the farm, which has distinguished itself thanks to its particular attention to the agri-environment and its innovative management practices.
The enterprise of Sylvain Laquerre, Noëlline Dusablon and Maxime Laquerre, Ferme Sylvain Laquerre inc. in Saint-Casimir has 109 kg of milk quota for its herd of 136 dairy animals. They also crop 160 hectares of farm land on which they rotate corn, soybeans, wheat, and alfalfa.
About the Prix La Coop fédérée à l’agroenvironnement
Awarded each year since 2006 on the occasion of the gala for the Ordre national du mérite agricole, this prize is given to contestants eligible for the ONMA competition, regardless of category, and who have a score of at least 90% in the segment for environmental protection.
