Pascal Houle
Pascal Houle has been CEO of Sollio Cooperative Group since September 13, 2021. He is an agile and unifying leader who draws on the cooperative business model and his many skills to help put food on people’s tables while ensuring the prosperity of farm families.
Mr. Houle holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BAA) and is also a Chartered Management Accountant (CMA) and a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). He has been involved in the Sollio network for more than 20 years—he began his career in 1998 as Hardware Manager at La Coop des Appalaches, then as Management Consultant at La Coop fédérée, now Sollio Cooperative Group.
In 2004, he joined La Coop des Bois-Francs, now VIVACO groupe coopératif, as Hardware, Materials and Petroleum Manager. Already noted for his qualities as a manager and visionary, Mr. Houle was appointed CEO of the cooperative in 2008.
In 2013, his strong operational discipline saw him become BMR Group’s Vice-President of Retail and then Executive Vice-President. In 2015, he became Chief Executive Officer of BMR Group and Executive Vice-President of Sollio Cooperative Group. In February 2021, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Sollio Cooperative Group as part of the organization’s succession plan.
At the head of Canada’s largest agricultural cooperative, Pascal Houle is a hands-on leader who intimately understands the values and issues specific to the agricultural cooperative community. He uses his strategic planning skills to make bold business decisions that strengthen Sollio Cooperative Group’s leadership position.
