MONTREAL, September 19, 2019 - It is with great pride that La Coop fédérée and its Sollio Agriculture and Groupe BMR subsidiaries have received Parity Certification. This certification, which recognizes their efforts to achieve gender parity within their ranks, has been awarded to these enterprises for the third year in a row. As one of 48 organizations to receive Parity Certification for Women in Governance, La Coop fédérée has been rewarded for its practices and measures as well as its progress in this regard by being awarded Gold certification. In 2017 it was awarded Bronze certification, and Silver certification in 2018.

In its analysis of three key dimensions - governance and vision, collective catalysts and equity, the evaluation committee highlighted the policies and practices, strategic orientations and La Coop fédérée’s clear commitment to achieving parity in particular, as well as for making real progress towards equity and parity at all levels of the organization.

"It makes us very proud to see that our efforts to promote gender equality and equity at all levels of our organization are paying off," said Gaétan Desroches, Chief Executive Officer of La Coop fédérée. Year after year, our teams work hard to deliver on our commitment to gender parity and this certification is a true recognition of the energy they have put into achieving this objective.”

"As an ambassador for Parity for Women in Governance in the business world, I work with the other leaders in La Coop fédérée to promote the place of women in decision-making positions. It is with pride that our efforts have been recognized by achieving Gold certification for parity this year," added Isabelle Leclerc, Senior Vice-president, Human Resources, at La Coop fédérée.
