Sollio Cooperative Group holds 102nd annual general meeting
Board of Directors composition announced
Montréal, March 1, 2024 – Following Sollio Cooperative Group’s 102nd annual general meeting (AGM), the Board of Directors held its first meeting this morning to elect its chair and vicechairs. Through a democratic voting process, the board members elected:
-Richard Ferland as chair
-David Mercier as vicechair
-Jean Bissonnette as vicechair
Welcoming a new director
Sollio Cooperative Group welcomed a new director to its board today.
Alain Laflamme is a member of Agiska Coopérative’s board of directors. He has 24 years of experience in agricultural cooperative management and specializes in pork and field crop production. He served as vicechair of La Coop Comax’s board for six years and as chair of the audit committee for 14 years. He has chaired Agiska Coopérative’s audit, finance and risk management committee since 2022. He has also served on the boards of SOCODEVI and Caisse Desjardins de Saint-Hyacinthe – Centre de services Les Salines. Alain served on the Cooperative Pork Network’s board of directors as vice-chair for eight years, as acting chair for one year, and as chair from April 2022 to April 2023.
The terms of seven other directors were renewed.
“On behalf of myself and the board, I’d like to extend my warmest thanks to outgoing director Ghislain Gervais, who served on our board for 13 years, including 7 as chair,” said Board Chair Richard Ferland at the AGM. “I’d like to thank him for all the work he’s done, his contribution to the cooperative model, his vision in implementing the 2020 project, which helped reposition the network, and his dedication to Québec’s agricultural industry.”
The board composition for 2024–2025 is as follows:

Sector 2: Marc-André Roy, Jeannine Chartrand and Jean-François Roy
Sector 3: Jean Bissonnette, Guy Labrecque and Alain Laflamme
Sector 4: David Mercier, Cathy Fraser and Normand Lapointe
Sector 5: Lucie Boies
Sector 6: Sophie Gendron
Guest directors: François R. Roy and Paule Têtu
