Paule Têtu
During her career, Ms. Paule Têtu has held various strategic and management positions in both public and private organizations. She holds a forest engineering degree from Université Laval and a master’s degree from the University of Georgia in the United States. She currently sits on the board of directors of Solifor, one of the largest owners of private forests under management in Quebec. She is also a director of the non-profit organization ‘’Les Amis du Mont-Sainte-Anne’’. Among her previous functions, Paule acted as assistant vice-rector for research and creation at Université Laval. She was also Associate Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Wildlife of Quebec where, in addition to being responsible for Forest Quebec and regional operations across Quebec, she piloted the revision of the policy Quebec forestry.
Previously, Ms. Têtu was Vice President - Sustainable Development for Kruger Forest Products and, previously, Director - Membership and Communications for the National Wood Products Research Institute (now FPInnovations) and Director of Communications and Public Affairs at the Quebec Forest Industries Association (now the Quebec Forest Industry Council - CIFQ). As part of the celebrations for the 400th anniversary of Quebec City in 2008, the Council on the Status of Women recognized Ms. Têtu among 400 women who have contributed in a particular way to the development of Quebec society.
