Jean-François Roy
Jean-François Roy is the sole owner of Ferme Marjobert inc. bought from his parents in 1998. He owns 325 sows, 1200 nursery places and a fattening place with 1500 places.
Recently, he acquired a new 1,500-place fattener that he operates on a contract basis with RP2R. He also owns 170 hectares of land of meadows and woodlands on different lots.
He has been involved since a young age in various organizations. He sat for more than 20 years in the agricultural succession group, including 12 years as president. He was also president for several years of the Club-conseil Agro-Champs of Thetford Mines. He has also been involved in municipal politics for 17 years and is currently mayor of his municipality. Since 2015, he has been a member of the Filière porcine coopérative. In those same years, became vice-president of the Réseau Agriconseil Chaudière-Appalaches.
