Sophie Gendron
Sophie Gendron is co-owner of Ferme Lénique inc. with her husband, Christian Lévesque, and her brother-in-law Réal, in the Kamouraska area of Bas-Saint-Laurent. They operate a dairy farm with 60 cows and cultivate forage and grain on 360 acres.
Having grown up on a dairy farm in the Saint-Hyacinthe region, Ms. Gendron is a graduate in animal science from the Institut de technologie agroalimentaire (ITA). After moving to Kamouraska in 1991, she became a dairy and crop representative for Groupe Coopératif Dynaco before later joining the farm with her partners.
Elected to the board of directors of Groupe Coopératif Dynaco in 2017, Ms. Gendron continued her involvement with Avantis Coopérative, where she served as chair of the human resources, governance and ethics committee for three years.
She has been a member of the board of directors of Sollio Groupe Coopératif since 2021.
Recognized for her planning skills, rigor, and ability to listen, she strives to make decisions that best serve the organization and its stakeholders.
