Sollio Cooperative Group holds 103rd annual general meeting

Board of Directors composition announced

Montréal, February 28, 2025 – Following Sollio Cooperative Group’s 103rd annual general meeting, the Board of Directors held its first meeting this morning to elect its chair and vice-chairs. Through a democratic voting process, the Board elected the following members:

  • Richard Ferland as chair
  • David Mercier as vice-chair
  • Jean Bissonnette as vice-chair

 

New directors welcomed
Sollio Cooperative Group welcomed two new directors:

Marie-Pier Béliveau is a Vivaco Groupe Coopératif board member with 10 years of experience on agricultural cooperative boards. She specializes in maple syrup production. After graduating from Cégep de Victoriaville in 2006 with a diploma in Farm Management and Technology, she got involved in her family farm, which at the time specialized in dairy and maple syrup production. In 2015, she joined the board of La Coop des Appalaches, which has since become Vivaco Groupe Coopératif.

Jean-Philippe Côté is a Vivaco Groupe Coopératif board member with 20 years of experience on agricultural cooperative boards. He specializes in dairy, grain, and maple syrup production. In addition to his involvement with Vivaco Groupe Coopératif, he is vice-chair of the board of directors of his local agricultural equipment-sharing cooperative. He serves on various UPA boards, including those for Memphremagog and for Producteurs de lait de l’Estrie. He also sits on his municipal environmental advisory committee.

The terms of six other directors were renewed.

“With six women on our Board of Directors, we’ve now exceeded our target of 30% women’s representation by 2025,” said Richard Ferland, Chair of the Board of Directors, at the AGM. “The Board and I would like to extend our warmest thanks to outgoing directors Denis Lévesque and Jean-François Roy for their dedication and commitment to Sollio Cooperative Group and the network.”

The board composition for 2025–2026 is as follows:

Sector 1: Richard Ferland, Adrien Pitre, Patrick Soucy and Sophie Gendron
Sector 2: Marc-André Roy, Jeannine Chartrand and Jean-Philippe Côté
Sector 3: Jean Bissonnette, Guy Labrecque and Alain Laflamme
Sector 4: David Mercier, Cathy Fraser and Normand Lapointe
Sector 5: Lucie Boies
Sector 6: Marie-Pier Béliveau
Guest directors: François R. Roy and Paule Têtu
