Guy Labrecque

Mr. Labrecque has co-owned Ferme Labrise Inc., a dairy farm with a quota of 100 kilos per day, since 1993. The farm has been among the top 100 herds of Lactanel for 5 years and one of the elite of Sollio Cooperative Group’s Superior Syncro dairy farmers. Mr. Labrecque and his spouse, Lynda Saint-Jacques, have operated Ferme Refrance inc. since 2007. They grow field crops of hay, wheat, soy and seeds on 600 acres of land.

Guy Labrecque, who graduated from the ITA de Saint-Hyacinthe in the GEEA program, comes from a line of farmers and is proud to be the head of the third-generation family business. He has three children, and his sons, Vincent and Olivier, represent the next generation of the family.

He was involved with the Cercle des jeunes ruraux de Rouville as a director, Vice-President and President, as well as the Association des jeunes ruraux du Québec as a director and 2nd Vice-President. He was also a director of the Holstein Club and the Société d’agriculture de Rouville. He was president of the Coop des Montérégeinnes during 8 years and currently holds the position of 1st Vice-President of Agiska Coopérative.
