Cathy Fraser
Cathy Fraser has been a farmer in the Mauricie region since 2006. Her farm comprises 75 hectares of cultivated land. Formerly a dairy operation, it has since transitioned to rabbit production.
In 2021, the owners decided to reposition their business as a rabbit meat production farm. In addition to rabbit meat, they added beef cattle and pigs, with products sold at retail directly from the farm as well as in select markets. The business also processes its meats to help introduce and promote rabbit meat among Quebec consumers.
A graduate in Civil Engineering Technology from Collège Ahuntsic, Cathy Fraser serves as a director on the board of Novago Coopérative and as Vice-President of the Centre de référence en agriculture et agroalimentaire du Québec (CRAAQ). She is actively involved in her community, notably as President of the Mékinac Chamber of Commerce.
