Ghislain Gervais
Ghislain Gervais is a producer of chickens, turkeys and cereals in Saint-Guillaume, who works with his partner, Josianne, his son, Francis, and his brother, Claude. Together, they operate two poultry houses that can accommodate 25,000 broilers each and a turkey house with 8,500 turkeys. They also own 500 hectares of land used for field crops, under management, semi-direct and minimum labour. Their main crops are corn, soybeans, oats, and dry beans.
He is a graduate of ITA de Saint-Hyacinthe and a member of the Board of Directors of Agiska Coopérative (formerly La Coop Agrilait, where he served as President from 2001 to 2014). He previously served on his regional UPA union, on the Board of Directors of Club agroenvironnemental Yamasol, and at Centre local de développement (CLD) de Saint-Guillaume. He also successfully completed training in corporate governance (ASC) at Université Laval in 2019.
